What it does

Calorie tracking, made as fast as I could make it. Four ways to log a meal — scan a barcode, snap a photo, speak it, or type the kcal. Five food categories: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Drinks, plus a water counter. One progress bar at the top tells you how much you have left for the day. A 30-day chart tells you the trend. That's the whole app.

What it doesn't

No social feed, no streaks, no badges, no leaderboards. No notifications, no emails, no "you haven't logged in three days" nags, no upgrade prompts. No ads, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels. The point is to let you log a meal and put your phone down.

Add your own API key

Barcode scanning and quick-add are free — they don't cost anything per request. Photo recognition and natural-language parsing route to an LLM, so for those you bring your own key. Paste an OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google key into Settings: encrypted at rest, decrypted only at request time, billed directly to your provider, never logged here. About $0.0001 per food photo on GPT-4o-mini, so heavy use is roughly $0.03 a month.

Install on your phone

MacroDaily is a Progressive Web App — no App Store, no review, no download. You install it from the browser and it lives on your home screen like a native app.

iPhone (Safari). Tap the Share button (square with arrow at the bottom), scroll, then tap Add to Home Screen → Add.

Android (Chrome). Tap the three-dot menu (top right), then Install app or Add to Home Screen.

Desktop (Chrome / Edge). Click the install icon in the address bar. Updates apply automatically the next time you open the app online.
